Empower One

Where the unraveling led

Jodi’s undoing did more than heal her. It sent her. This is the work, and these are the people, on the other side of the book.

The work

Empower One partners with indigenous leaders in South Sudan, Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo who are planting churches, training pastors, and serving their own communities. The strategy is simple and rare: the leaders are local, the vision is theirs, and partners from the outside come to strengthen what God is already doing.

Jodi serves as Chief of Staff and Women’s Ministry Director. The people in these photos are colleagues and friends. Their faith, formed under pressures most Western believers will never face, runs through every chapter of the book.

Bring this story to your people

Jodi speaks to churches, women’s ministries, conferences, and gatherings about the work in South Sudan, Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. She brings what she has seen, and she brings the women leading it there, by name and in their own words where they have given permission.

“When a woman is transformed by Christ, a generation is transformed.”

Annet, Empower One Africa Women’s Ministry Leader
